No seriously…how are you? It’s almost March, which means we are essentially halfway through the 2026 tournament season, which is REALLY hard to believe! How do you feel? How is recruiting going? Have you heard back from coaches? If so, what are those conversations like?
The stats don’t lie: Most successful recruits send 15–30 emails across multiple schools before real conversations start to build. If you haven’t heard back yet, don’t be discouraged. Recruiting is absolutely a “squeaky wheel gets the oil” process. Consistent, thoughtful follow-up matters.
And remember, many coaches are still working to finalize their 2026 rosters. A delayed response doesn’t mean no, it often just means not yet.
Keep Inviting and Following Up With Coaches!
If you’re feeling stuck or unsure about your next steps, I’m here to help. Send me an email at [email protected], and we’ll set up a time to talk through all things recruiting.
I’m also opening up private lessons specifically for athletes who are serious about playing at the collegiate level. These sessions are designed to provide high-level training while preparing you for the demands of college volleyball.
Don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s absolutely no pressure to make any decisions. Think of me as a sounding board. I’m here to support you throughout your journey, and that support can look however you need it to.
Below, you’ll find a sample email you can use when contacting coaches before and after tournaments. And remember the “sandwich method”:
Invite coaches before the tournament → compete and record at the tournament → follow up afterward.
Consistency and thoughtful follow-up truly make the difference.

Prep Dig Sunshine Classic Showcase
The Sunshine Classic is filled with hundred of athletes. Here’s how you can stand out
Hosted by Prep Dig, this showcase brings together one of the most competitive fields of players in the state—all competing under one roof. Athletes are grouped by age, creating high-level, position-specific matchups that push development, spotlight strengths, and provide real opportunities for growth and recognition.
College coaches across the country turn to Prep Dig to discover emerging talent—whether by attending in person, reading detailed player evaluations, or streaming matches live on BallerTV. From early exposure to direct recruiting interest, Prep Dig’s platform supports athletes at every stage of their journey.
This year’s event features two showcase sessions, both hosted at Winter Park Volleyball Club in Orlando. In full transparency, it will be packed. There will be tons of girls there, but it’s such a great opportunity and experience, and you never know what will come out of it!
Get ready to compete. Get ready to be seen.
Prospect Camps Currently Open
Prospect camps are opportunities for athletes to learn and participate in programs that are actively recruiting athletes. These camps are typically hosted by programs with roster spots to fill. They are incredible opportunities for athletes who are within a year or two of graduation and are looking to secure their collegiate volleyball home.

About this event from Assistant Coach PuaLehua Keola: This camp is for high school volleyball players who are looking to play at the next level after graduating High School. Camp is to help educate and gain experience on what it could be like playing for the Florida Tech volleyball program. We focus on all aspects of volleyball and ensure campers receive ample instruction from staff. There will be lots of opportunities to showcase the player's talent, skills, and personal character. Current scholar athletes and alumni players will also be in attendance to help with any questions and share their experience at the school. A campus tour for those interested in seeing the campus will start at 3 pm, Friday, March 20th, meeting at the Clemente Center, and another on Saturday, March 21st at 3pm. There will be a total of 3 volleyball sessions (Saturday 9 - 11:30 am & 12:30 - 3 pm, and Sunday 9 am - 12 pm). Lunch will be included for Saturday only (11:30 am - 12:30 pm).
